George Sand - French novelist (1804-1876) She wrote about 120 works. Praised for her writing skills and her emancipation, she pretended to be a man in public to make it easier to move and express herself. She has been married several times and had a relationship with Chopin for a long time, with whom she lived in Nohant. He composed many well-known works there. She wrote the novella Les maîtres Sonneurs. The hiking course Sur les pas des Maitres Sonneurs is a tribute to this. Her domain in Nohant is national heritage and museum.
