Gîte Chasseur
A quiet holiday cottage in the countryside of the Allier in the middle of France
The gîte is located on the same property as our campsite and chambres d’hôtes, yet it offers plenty of privacy and its own space. Here, you stay independently, at your own pace, with the quiet rhythm of the French countryside around you.
The cottage lies on our small-scale rural property in the Allier region of central France. It combines privacy with the atmosphere of the land: open views, birds in the morning and real darkness at night.
A cottage with history
The cottage is called Chasseur — “the hunter” — because the building once served as a retreat for local hunters. Before and after the hunt, they would gather here to rest, eat and share stories.
Today, the building has been completely renovated into a comfortable and welcoming holiday home, while keeping some of its authentic character.

Cottage Chasseur is suitable for families or small groups and offers a practical, homely layout.
Fully accessible
The cottage is fully ground-floor and accessible for guests with reduced mobility. Everything is laid out on one level, making it a comfortable option for those who prefer or require step-free access.

You are welcome to use the shared areas of La Cour d’Enchère as well — from the terrace near the house to the open grounds where guests naturally meet.

The cottage is a comfortable base for exploring the Allier and surrounding regions. From here, you can make relaxed day trips to forests, lakes, small towns and local markets.
Visit historic villages, walk in the shade of old oak forests, or enjoy a long lunch in a quiet French town square. The region invites you to slow down and explore without hurry.

Practical information
A stay in Cottage Chasseur, our 2-star classified gîte, is possible from €595 per week (up to 4 people, including bed linen).
Price example
A stay for two people in the gîte, with a minimum stay of 3 nights:
€85 per night → €255 for 3 nights
Tourist tax (€0.63 per adult per night) is added separately.
Heating is provided via a pellet stove. One bag of pellets is included; additional bags are available at the daily rate if needed.
